Subsea powerpack

Hydraulic power is generated by a subsea powerpack, which is in fact a combination of an electrical motor and a hydraulic pump. The electrical motor is powered by umbilical from the surface, or powered from the ROV, and drives the hydraulic pump. The pump capacity is calculated and fine-tuned on the requirements of the connected hydraulic subsea parts (e.g. cilinders, valves, drives, etc). A wide range of high performance and robust HPU systems can be designed and delivered by Seatec.
