MPI services

Seatec is capable of executing Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) on various steel structures and equipment.

We have experienced an increasing demand to provide a complete package of services from our clients to become a one-stop supplier. We are able to perform MPI inspections above waterlevel in an offshore environment.

As registered at the Foundation for Certification of Competence it meets the certification criteria for Magnetic Particle Inspection for the sectors Vessels and Structures.

The examination procedure and requirements are in accordance with NEN-EN 473 and the ASNT Recommended SNT-TC-1A.

Typical examples of executed inspections are:

• Offshore platforms;
• Containers for offshore use;
• Lifting pad eye's on handling systems.

At our base Zierikzee we can expand this even further with our load testing capabilities. We have certified load cells available up to 50 mT and appropriate hoisting equipment. We can also accommodate test witnessing by certification authorities if required.
